so we were first introduced to the tools....

we were told to make a hallow ball like this and we were suppose to make a creature out of it HAHA 

Some pots designs

 the base

flattening the base 

coils made from the extruder 

touching up the pot after 3 layers

using fingers to smoothen the sides and everything

 my base

its really important to score before joining parts together

so that they won't fall off

after building the first 3 layers of the base, stop then use a hair dryer to blow dry it.

Things i learnt today 2 [ clay ]

always dry your clay when you cant shape it bcoz its harder to work with soft clay
cut yr base with a needl, do not shape it .
score the base and apply 3 layer
always tap it so the layers can join together
dont leave any lines
following, shape it
dry it w hair dryer if its too soft
continue

I feel that clay is somehow a special kind of human being,
for example using personification ,
clays is like a man like when u touch it alot they get tired easily.

Updates on Self Portraits

So we tried painting the portraits... and

I realize I applied too many layers of paint thus its very thick ..):

Self portrait ! ( on Chloe )

Soo this is the first official portrait drawing I'm doing and I drew Chloe !

We learnt about proportions and things like the nose shape the face shape and all. And we're gonna learn on shading  in the subsequent lesson ! I really hope I can improve slowly !
